The SnapEdit project focused on addressing the challenges faced by non-professional content creators, freelancers, and small businesses by conceptualizing an intuitive video editing platform. Our primary objective was to develop a strategic product framework and business model for a user-generated marketplace where users could buy and sell custom templates and filters. Through rigorous research, we crafted user personas, defined key features, and developed a go-to-market strategy. Rather than building a fully functional product, we focused on business modeling, product strategy, and prototyping the core experience on Figma.
The envisioned platform emphasized simplicity, accessibility, and monetization opportunities for users, with scalable features designed to foster community engagement, improve user retention, and create new revenue streams. Our work culminated in a comprehensive Product Requirements Document (PRD) outlining functional and non-functional requirements, KPIs, and an incremental rollout plan, ensuring a clear path to product success.
Go-to-Market Strategy
SnapEdit’s go-to-market strategy enhances its existing mobile app by integrating a user-generated marketplace, allowing creators to seamlessly buy, sell, and monetize templates. Through social media integration, users can discover and apply templates directly via linked posts, driving traffic and engagement. A tailored B2B model offers businesses advanced content creation tools and marketplace access. Marketing efforts focus on social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and a referral program, while a self-service sales model ensures scalability. Comprehensive customer support, including AI chatbots and user guides, ensures a smooth user experience, positioning SnapEdit for widespread adoption and growth.
Prototyping

We prototyped key SnapEdit marketplace features on Figma, focusing on user flows, UI design, and core interactions to demonstrate how users can discover, purchase, and monetize templates seamlessly within the app.
